An opportunity has become available for a Procurement Category Manager to join our central Procurement team!
The University is embarking on an extensive programme of work to update and enhance many of its buildings located on its main campus in Bath. We also have exciting plans to develop several new buildings both on and off campus over the coming years that will support the delivery of the University’s key strategic aims. This role will provide an exciting opportunity for you to play an integral part in delivering significant improvement and growth to the University’s infrastructure.
As the ideal candidate you will:
Working closely with your key stakeholders within the Department of Campus Infrastructure you will help determine current and future requirements, ensuring that the University effectively engages with the supply market turning plans into reality. You will focus on delivering a procurement service that obtains the optimum value for money, whilst mitigating supply chain risks, and meeting the wider programme objectives. You will thrive in an environment where you are given the freedom and tools to help manage the construction category effectively, whilst being part of an inclusive and welcoming team.

The role is offered on a full-time basis (36.5 hours per week) and offers you the flexibility to operate hybrid working arrangements. An office base is available within a city centre location near to Bath Spa train station or you can also work remotely with the flexibility to determine your optimum balance of work locations across the week.
