Would you like to join our professional housekeeping team? They are responsible for ensuring our award-winning accommodation, lecture theatres and conference rooms, hospitality outlets, flats and public areas all used by staff, students during term time and then conference guests and holiday makers in vacation periods are maintained to our high standards.
We are looking for an experienced Handyperson to be responsible for the maintenance and redistribution of furniture and fittings within the accommodation as required.
As Handyperson you can expect to be involved in:
Acting as the first line response to maintenance tasks, you will carry out the day-to-day triaging of defects to assess the level of repair required, and either fix the fault found or escalate to maintenance staff as necessary, within specified service level deadlines.
You will undertake removals and deliveries of cleaning materials and equipment across the University campus, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times.
You will need to work flexibly at key times to provide support during business-critical conference periods, on campus recruitment events and student arrivals and departures.
What will you bring to the role?
Previous customer focused, maintenance experience
General education to include English and Maths
Proven basic computer skills, including MS Word, Email, Excel and MS Teams
Knowledge and understanding of the safe use of tools and equipment.
