The opportunity
You will be a key member of our UAL Awarding Body team, who design and award creative qualifications to over 70,000 students across 300 centres across the UK and worldwide. UAL Awarding Body is supported by our Quality Assurance and Enhancement team (QAE), who provide expert advice and support relating to Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance.
As an Information Compliance Manager, you will work closely to support colleagues across the awarding body, providing expert advice on information management practice and compliance, including within the context of GDPR. You will conduct an annual GDPR audit and self-evaluation of UAL’s records management requirements, producing comprehensive reports to inform future practice and enhancements.
In addition to this, you will:
You will also provide support to the Awarding Body Local Information Manager (LIM) and Information Asset Owner, representing the LIM when required.
About you
We are looking for a well-organised individual, with excellent persuasion and negotiation skills and experience of identifying and managing risk.
You will demonstrate an understanding of GDPR legislation, principles and implementation of data protection measures, including Data Subject Access Requests and the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.
Strong engagement, persuasion, communication skills and the ability to present complex technical regulatory information and data to varied audiences is essential.
You will employ a creative solution focused approach to accommodate business demands whilst ensuring regulatory compliance advocating the benefits of legislation and compliance rather than the constraints.
