Turning Passion into Purpose. London South Bank University (LSBU) is a leading university for professional and technical education. LSBU is part of LSBU Group, which include a Further Education College and a Multi-Academy Trust.
The BI Analyst plays a crucial role in using Power BI to transform multiple data sets into insight, knowledge and action, for multiple stakeholders across the university. The role is based within the BI Team in the Strategy, Planning and Performance unit. The BI Team exists as a centre of excellence to support the University in using data and information to drive improved performance management and decision making. The team develop and manage the BI System (Alteryx/Snowflake/Power BI) to produce a range of dashboard and analytical outputs using enterprise data (Student, HR, VLE and others) to provide a range of BI and MI outputs to support staff across the organisation, and to support corporate planning.
About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
Highly skilled in using Power BI; Comfortable with agile development cycles; High attention to detail; Good at communicating complex concepts and insight; Confident both working alone and as an enthusiastic collaborator; Proven aptitude to develop own technical skills and/or find solutions to complex data scenarios.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and its transformation into impactful data visualisations, supporting the University to achieve its Strategic ambitions. They will be eager to join an innovative team using the latest data technologies, and help make a real contribution to the success of the university.
