We are excited to offer this opportunity as an Associate Professor to help lead and support an applied research programme in mental health for a National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) award based at the University of Bradford and an honorary contract at the Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research. This post has become available due to a new £2.5 million Mental Health Leaders Award, being granted to the University of Bradford, mentored by the University of York. You will play an integral role in helping us build capacity and expertise in applied mental health research in the region and have an opportunity to develop your leadership skills through partnership working with our diverse range of partners and collaborators. You will join a passionate group of multidisciplinary researchers to build a centre for research excellence in children and young people’s mental health, led by Dr Eleanor Bryant and Dr Paul Sullivan. This research group will be based at the University of Bradford and will work synergistically with the world-leading research infrastructure in Bradford. This includes; Born in Bradford, Age of Wonder, Bradford Institute of Health Research, Bradford District Care trust, Bradford Metropolitan Council, Centre for Applied Education Research, Education Alliance for life Chances, community groups, charity organisations, children, young people, and their families.

What you will be doing:

You will be an experienced researcher in children and young people’s mental health, with evidence of research achievements commensurate with stage of career in relation to publication record, income generation and grant capture.
