About the Role
For informal enquiries, please contact Hannah Proudfoot (Data Integration & Alignment Manager) at hannah.proudfoot@wbs.ac.uk.
This is an exciting opportunity to co-lead a team of Data and Systems Analysts & Support Specialists at a leading business school, pro-actively shaping the provision of support provided to a range of programmes and teams, focusing on stakeholder engagement, development of staff, embedding standard operating procedures and ensuring improvement projects are appropriately resourced.
About You
The successful candidate will be an experienced manager and leader, capable of leading and developing the team to ensure that they provide high-quality support to all stakeholders. As a key manager within Academic Services, you’ll have responsibility for ensuring that team members are supported in developing their own professional capabilities, both individually and as a team.
The Team’s scope is broad and ranges from supporting key operational processes through to underpinning new developments at WBS. This involves working alongside senior management to understand their needs and with our eSolutions Development Team to ensure that developments lead to successful implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting priorities for the team and individual members. They’ll be pro-active in engaging stakeholders to identify where improvements to existing data structures, systems, and processes can be made, whilst keeping abreast of key developments within the School and the wider University to ensure the broader context within which changes are being undertaken are understood and taken into account.
As an experienced project manager, you’ll be able to juggle a number of complex internal and high-profile data and systems-related projects yourself, as well as supporting your team to manage their own workloads. Critically you’ll have experience of line management, and in the design, specification and implementation of systems solutions to business issues. Ideally, you’ll have a project management qualification as well as experience and familiarity in data visualisation packages such as Power BI.
