About the Role
We are seeking a Research Assistant to join the Experimental Medicine Division within the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine (NDM). This role will focus on advancing our understanding of immune responses in disease contexts, with a particular emphasis on inflammation and infection.
About You
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting in vitro experiments. Key responsibilities include recruiting patients for sampling and research purposes, preparing samples, organising data, and conducting experiments. Core tasks will involve performing basic wet laboratory techniques such as functional assays and ELISAs, as well as preparing samples for further downstream analysis.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification and have experience in biology, biomedicine, immunology, or genetics with previous experience in sterile culture practices or molecular biology techniques
The successful candidate must hold at least a first degree in biology, biomedicine, immunology or genetics (or a related discipline).
