About the Department

Library Services at Queen Mary has a vibrant international staff group and a rapidly evolving service base. We are seeking 1x Library Supervisor in the Enquiries team within the Library Frontline Services. For information regarding the remit and responsibilities, please refer to the job pack for this post. 

You would also spend part of each working day on a service point, providing drop-in help for students about library spaces, lending services and e-resources.  

About You 

You will have either a first degree, or other recognised qualification in a relevant subject area, such as Library & Information Studies, or substantial relevant work experience at progressively higher levels.

About the Post 

This post is based primarily at the Mile End Campus in London, but you will be expected to work at other sites, including Whitechapel and West Smithfield Libraries. The post is full-time (35hrs per week) and is a permanent position.

The libraries are open 7 days per week and the post holder will be required to work on weekends occasionally . The working pattern each week is an early shift (08:00-16:00) a late shift (12:00-20:00) and three core shifts (10:00-18:00). Weekend days are worked on a rota basis from  10:45-18:15.

Breaks are unpaid and are one hour on weekdays, 30 minutes at weekends.
