About the Role
The Enterprise Architect plays a key role in leading and supporting EA activities that are strategically crucial for the development and management of a portfolio of solutions. These solutions, which encompass projects, products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure and application services, are at the heart of Queen Mary's success.
As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for upkeeping and maintaining strategies and standards for all services in the ITS function. Your role will be instrumental in overseeing and improving the services by developing, coordinating, maintaining and enforcing the overall enterprise architecture. Your work will directly connect project and programme strategies, creating a meaningful impact on Queen Mary's overarching goals.
The Enterprise Architect role is an integral part of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function, part of the Office of the CIO within IT Services. In this role, you will report to the Head of Enterprise Architecture and work closely with solution, security, and data architects. You will also line manage solution designers within the EA function, promoting a sense of teamwork and collaboration.
About You
You should have a proven track record as a hands-on Architect, ideally with experience in Enterprise Architecture. You will need to possess expertise across various disciplines, ranging from architecture to operations. A qualification in or a demonstrable understanding of architecture frameworks, including TOGAF, is required.
About the Department
The IT Services function operates within the Professional Services Department and is part of the professional services group that enables and facilitates the success of both our students and faculty. Together with other professional service areas, the Enterprise Architecture team aims to deliver value for money through technology, ensuring efficiency, economy, effectiveness, and equity
