The School of Medicine wishes to recruit an experienced education focussed lecturer to support the expanding teaching of UG medicine.
You will be a scholar with a growing research reputation and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of delivery and management of educational content with a background in the medical and health sciences.
The successful candidate will be expected to assume a leadership role as a theme lead, module lead or similar in due course, to be active in the development of teaching via scholarly or educational research activities, and to be capable of teaching medical and / or health sciences to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds.
Candidates should hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential.
The role holders will teach on the BSc and new five-year MBChB as well as the graduate entry ScotGEM MBChB programme and MSC programmes run from the School of Medicine as required.
