The School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful and vibrant faculty, frequently commended for our partnership working across the health and social care sector. Supported by our simulation strategy and resources, the school delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate courses leading to registration in nursing, midwifery, and allied healthcare professions. The University has invested over £8 million in the development of a state-of-the-art simulation centre, which further enhances our record of teaching, research and knowledge exchange innovation.
The Post
We are seeking to recruit experienced registered Adult Nurses who have ambition to develop as nurse educators and academics, having developed teaching and assessing skills through a mentorship/practice assessor role or equivalent. You will play a key role in facilitating teaching and learning, and research and knowledge exchange across our Adult nursing provision. We are happy to consider part-time working and/or secondments. Applicants without previous teaching experience will be considered as a Lecturer.

You will have a passion for education, thrive on seeing students succeed, have ambition and an inquiring mind. You will have opportunity to complete a PGCHE and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, as well as contribute to faculty wide research and knowledge exchange activities. Opportunity may also exist to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme.
