We are looking to appoint an experienced academic to join the school as an Associate Professor in Nursing and Healthcare Education. In this role, you will be required to demonstrate substantial experience of working in a higher education context including curriculum development, approvals and PSRB approved health programmes.
Co-aligned with the requirements of the associate professor role; the successful applicant will also be required to undertake the role of Practice Learning Lead for an initial period of three years. This role will also include line management responsibilities.
The role as Practice Learning Lead will support the Head of School to develop and deliver on the school’s strategic priorities, focusing on placement management and expansion. You will provide strong academic leadership and vision driven by a commitment to teaching and student experience in practice learning. The post holder is expected to have, and maintain, strong stakeholder relationships, a proven track record of discipline-related pedagogical expertise and to provide leadership and to set standards of excellence. The successful candidate must also hold a PhD or equivalent professional practice in a relevant discipline.
Staff are expected to continue delivering their academic career objectives and contribute to teaching, learning, research, and knowledge exchange where appropriate.
