We are seeking an experienced and highly capable administrator to lead and manage the academic administrative processes for our MSc programmes. The post is part of the Department of Engineering Science’s Student Administration Team.
You will lead and manage the academic administrative processes for the MSc in Energy Systems programme, providing advice and guidance to the Course Directors on matters such as exams regulations, student admissions processes and on-course monitoring. The MSc in Energy Systems has an annual intake of approximately 30 full-time and part-time students.
Educated to degree level, you should have experience of managing administrative processes and customer facing work, ideally in a higher education environment. You must be able to interpret and apply regulations and procedures. A proven ability to work independently, using your own initiative, and to prioritise competing demands is essential, as are strong IT skills and a very high level of attention to detail. Strong team working and communication skills are vital.
The post holder will spend at least one day per week at Osney, and the remainder of the time in the main teaching building for Engineering Science in the centre of Oxford. Some home-working may be considered after a suitable probationary period.
Applicants wishing to job share should indicate this clearly in their covering letter.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Christine Mitchell – Christine.Mitchell@eng.ox.ac.uk
Only applications received before midday on the 15th of January 2025 can be considered. You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement describing how you meet the essential criteria of the post, CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application.
