About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Lecturer to join us at The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
- Developing and leading on HE programmes with a construction and BSE specialism
- Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying HE Built environment subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels
- Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential
- Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience
- Undertaking course administration as necessary
- Leading and contributing to curriculum developments within the Built Environment department
- Carrying out course leadership duties where appropriate
About you:
- Degree in construction/BSE field of study
- Evidence of successfully leading a team in an HE environment related to the built environment
- Literacy and Numeracy Level 2
- Experience of leading an HE provision through ‘Office for Students’ audits and moderations
- Experience of developing new curriculum pathways and capital equipment in order to provide the best possible learning environment for HE students
- Successful experience as a teacher in an FE environment, particularly BSE up to and including level 3
- Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs
- Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
- Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
