Bangor University is seeking to appoint a Research Officer to its Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluation (CHEME). Applications are invited from post-doctoral researchers with a record of research accomplishments to join the Pharmaceutical Economics, Policy and Prescribing Research (PEPPER) group within CHEME.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for career development and progression, with the successful candidate gaining experience by assessing the cost-effectiveness of health technologies alongside clinical trials. Research will focus initially on personalising treatment to improve kidney health in people living with heart failure.
Applications are welcome from candidates with a PhD (or near completion) in Health Economics or a related discipline. The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of conducting economic evaluations, have good inter-personal skills, an enthusiasm for multidisciplinary research and be adept at working within project teams.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the post is available for a fixed-term period until 31st January 2027. An extension beyond this will be dependent on research funding being awarded to the post holder and the Research Centre.
This role will be located at our Bangor campus. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
Applications will also be considered to carry out this role on a part-time or job share basis.
