The University is seeking to recruit a Research Contracts Officer to join its Research Contracts Team.
A senior, full-time role, you be joining a supportive team environment in which you will provide high-level contractual and legal advice to academic and professional service colleagues.
A member of the prestigious Russell Group, the Research Contracts Team deals with contracts that fund and facilitate the University’s research activities. Ensuring those contracts move forward efficiently whilst protecting the University’s interests is an essential part of the role, as is managing your own time and portfolio of work. An understanding of contract law and of the legal issues facing a University, as well as experience successfully drafting and negotiating contracts is essential.
Forming part of the Directorate of Legal and Governance, you must also have an understanding of the legal issues which arise in the context of a contract, as well as being articulate, commercially aware and having a keen eye for detail.
