What will you be doing?

The Deputy Course Manager (DCM) will assist the Course Director in the daily delivery of the EPSRC funded Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Aerosol Science, supporting the Course Director in the training of a cohort of ~20 PhD students and leading on the delivery of training for the CDT industrial partners. The DCM will help coordinate and contribute to the delivery of training across elements of the CDT training programme, including particularly the Units in aerosol science, and impact and translation. The DCM will adapt and coordinate the delivery of these training elements for industrial partners to meet identifiable partner training needs. The DCM will work with the Partnerships Director and Manager to identify these training needs through discussions with industrial partners.

The DCM will report to the Course Director, and will work with the CDT Centre Director, administration team and wider academic team to support training delivery and contribute to the smooth running of the CDT. They will support curation of the on-line training portal and the coordination of virtual resources.

The DCM will liaise with the Centre Manager, Director and Administration Team in weekly planning meetings to discuss operational, educational, financial or other issues arising. The DCM will also liaise with members of the CDT Management Committee and Partnerships Board in quarterly meetings to discuss operational and strategic aspects of the centre, and the priorities of CDT partners.
