The University of Westminster is a forward-thinking University with a mission to help students from different backgrounds to fulfil their potential. Employability is one of the four objectives of our Being Westminster: 2022 – 2029 Strategy.
The Work Experience and Placement Coordinator will work closely with the Work Experience and Placement Officer, Recruiter Engagement Officer and Work Experience and Recruiter Engagement Administrator.
This is an important role that will involve supporting primarily students and employers through local management of work-based learning projects, including coordinating and monitoring both existing and new opportunities to enhance student employability. The role will also contribute to the wider operation of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Placement team.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy team environment, general office duties and delivering a high standard of customer care. They will be able to demonstrate their excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to identify customer needs and manage relationships, whilst prioritising their workload effectively.
The postholder will be based primarily at our Cavendish campus, however, travel and work across all sites is required. Currently the team is working in a hybrid capacity.
In return the University offers a generous remuneration package including 35 days of annual leave per year (pro-rated), opportunities for personal and professional development, and a central London location.
