We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic disability support adviser with experience in providing advice and guidance to prospective and current students with disabilities, long-term medical conditions or specific learning differences as well as staff. You will have knowledge and experience liaising with external agencies including funding bodies, local authorities and social services to ensure support is in place for student with support needs.
Our mission is to support students: enhancing student satisfaction; improving student progression, retention, achievement and employability.
The Accessibility, Disability and Inclusion Team forms part of the Student Life Directorate to support students with reasonable adjustments during their studies, this also includes working closely with the Mental Health and Wellbeing team, Support to Study and Safeguarding teams.
We welcome internal secondment opportunities, as well as external applications for this 12 months, fixed term contact for maternity cover.
