About the role
This post is being funded by the Timetabling Project, a 2 year piece of work to deliver a new end to end timetabling solution. This will consist of a new suite of IT products which will support data gathering, scheduling, publishing and room booking aspects of the timetabling service. As the subject matter expert, you will have extensive knowledge and experience of working within an HE timetabling service and will bring that to bear on the design and build of the new products, and the testing and training required to implement them. You will ideally have some experience of project work or an understanding of key principles of project management and delivery. You will work closely with both the Project team and the business as usual timetabling service, as well as other University stakeholders. In doing so you will be conscious of the need for continuous service improvement in support of a high-quality student experience.
About you
The post requires a very high level of personal responsibility and initiative and as such you will have a significant experience in timetabling at scale, ideally within the HE sector, and will possess a strong array of technical skills and experience of working with complex data and large databases. You will have excellent communication skills and inter-personal skills and be able to use them to influence, negotiate and problem solve. As the project will implement Syllabus+ as the timetabling software, demonstrable experience of working with this product will be an advantage.
