About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an JEI Administrator as a maternity cover or secondment, to provide professional administrative support to the Assessment and Record Officer and the Executive Vice Dean of the Joint Educational Institute (JEI) with Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
About You
Applicants must have A-level qualifications (or equivalent), or equivalent relevant experience. Educated to an Undergraduate Degree level in a relevant field is desirable. Candidates must have experience in providing precision administrative support to senior managers, directors, and committees. As well as, good IT skills, able to operate at an intermediate level with Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience in organising and minute-taking to a high professional standard is essential.
About the School of EECS
The School of Electronic Engineering at Queen Mary University of London (QM) has provided a lead in Sino-British co-operation by successfully operating dual award degree programmes jointly with Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT). These courses have been running since 2004 and were the first to be approved as part of the “key university” quota by the Chinese Ministry of Education. The programmes are taught in English and based in Beijing and were the first in China to be accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is expected that the successful candidate will hold this position for the full period. However, should the post-holder on maternity exercise their right to return earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month.
