The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Senior HR Administrator (fixed term) to join our busy Human Resources team. The role of Senior HR Administrator is vitally important to the operations of the service and is a busy and varied role supporting a portfolio of academic and support services within a small team or across teams under the guidance of a HR Partner or Adviser.
This role is ideal for someone who has demonstrated excellent HR administration skills, thrives on delivering excellence & service improvement & has pride in their ability to multitask & provide support proactively to colleagues across the team & University. The successful candidate will co-ordinate many aspects of the team’s remit with an emphasis on supporting recruitment, on boarding and associated employee life cycle matters for substantive & atypical workers.
Key responsibilities will include recruitment, payroll, reviewing and actioning monthly reports, leading on DBS renewals, supporting Access to Work applications & claims, first line advice in relation maternity & paternity queries and employee relations queries and supporting HR Partners in preparing Certificate of Sponsorship applications along with required compliance & record keeping.
You will have the ability to work largely independently, often on your own initiative, juggling multiple tasks and working to tight time pressure. You must represent both the service and the University in a highly professional manner at all times.
