Academy of Nursing
The Academy of Nursing within the Department of Health and Care Professions is entering an exciting new phase of its development. Our pioneering 4-year MSci (Hons) nursing programme offers students the opportunity to follow one of two pathways towards registration: Adult Nursing (Single Registration) or Adult and Mental Health Nursing (Dual Registration). Building on this solid foundation and our reputation for high-quality innovative programmes of nursing education, we are expanding our suite of programmes to include a new BSc and Degree Apprenticeship in Adult Nursing.
We are inviting applications from colleagues seeking a role as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Nursing who share our passion for designing creative, authentic nursing curricula that cultivate a spirit of enquiry, empathy, and engagement in our students. Successful applicants will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), have experience in nursing education, and hold a Master’s level qualification (or higher) with recent experience developing and delivering enriching educational experiences for student nurses. We are particularly keen to hear from Dual Registered nurse academics, although would welcome applications from colleagues with Adult Nursing experience, as well as those with experience designing, developing and delivering Degree Apprenticeship programmes.
The role
We are seeking to appoint a new 1.0 FTE Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with a particular focus on adult nursing.
