Faculty / Directorate

The Faculty of Art Design and Humanities (ADH) is home to many of DMU's creative disciplines and humanities subjects and is one of the UK's leading Higher Education providers of creative disciplines. Working in a busy and proactive administration team, we provide professional support service to our 5000 students and 300 members of staff across our 3 main buildings; the award-winning V J Patel Building, the Clephan Building and our Performing Arts Centre of Excellence.

Role

You will teach Korean as part of DMU Global’s Language programme. This is an optional programme which students can take alongside their regular degrees. Teaching begins in the week beginning 20th January 2025, and runs for 10 weeks until week beginning 31st March. Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturer rate: £50.65 per hour.

You will be expected to

• Prepare and deliver weekly face-to-face 2-hour classes in Beginner Korean.
• Provide formative feedback to students as appropriate.
• Work closely with the DMU Global team to ensure the success of the Programme.

Please note that you must be resident in the UK and able to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• A suitable qualification in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language.
• Recent experience of teaching Korean as a foreign language to adults.
• The ability to work on their own initiative.
• Proof of the right to work in the UK.
