About the role
The Admissions Office is looking to appoint an Admissions Coordinator to help process applications and respond to applicant enquiries in Postgraduate Admissions.
Working as part of the centralised Admission Office, you will assist with the smooth, professional, and efficient running of the University’s admissions operation by taking responsibility for processing applications in defined areas and/or by managing and responding to the large volumes of enquiries the Office receives from applicants.
The Admissions Office is a busy, friendly environment with a team currently comprising 40 staff (including these posts) split between Undergraduate Admissions, Postgraduate Admissions and Scholarships. The Head of Admissions oversees the work of the whole Office.
About you
You will have a friendly, welcoming demeanour and ideally have existing experience of working within admissions.
You will need to be organised, hard-working and possess excellent attention to detail. You should be comfortable working in a busy, pressured environment with an expectation of meeting tight deadlines.
The Admissions Team work together closely throughout the admissions cycle, so you will have demonstrable team working skills while also possessing the ability to work independently and take initiative, when required.
You will need excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
You will ideally have experience of working with people from across the globe and in dealing with those whose first language is not English.
