About the role
The Global Health and Infection Department of the Brighton and Sussex Medical School is looking for a confident, well organised and highly motivated Co-Ordinator to provide clerical and administrative support within the Global Health and Infection Department and responsible for the additional administrative, management and governance needs to the Director, Co-director and Research Fellow of the Centre of Equitable Global Health Research which is one of Sussex University’s Centres of Excellence. Consulting with colleagues with similar areas of responsibility and being actively involved in team meetings, sharing information. Liaising and planning workshops/conferences, all travel coordination and arrangements with UK and overseas collaborators, hotels, and conference facilitators.
About you
We are looking for someone with excellent organisation and administration skills who is confident in dealing with complex administration including planning and coordinating events, in-person and online, procurement and purchasing and travel bookings, within the UK and internationally. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and able to deal and respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders. You will have the skills to manage your own workload and at times, support other colleagues and communicate clearly with the team, line management, and stakeholders.
