The Role

The College invites applicants for the role of Accommodation Manager. Reporting to the Domestic Bursar, the successful applicant will work collaboratively with other departments within the College, including the Tutorial Office, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Porters and the Bursary to ensure a positive and professionally managed residential experience for students and others who rent accommodation outside academic terms.

The Accommodation Manager will ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks and in line with the strategic aims and objectives of the College, including academic and financial policy.

The successful candidate will be comfortable dealing day to day with students and fellows in a warm yet professional manner and will be able to deal calmly with the unforeseen. 

The Accommodation manager will be part of the senior staff group in the College helping to inform and steer the future direction of College projects around accessibility and to design new student accommodation developments. 

This is a full-time permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this position is £43,470

The College

Gonville & Caius College is one of the largest Colleges in the University of Cambridge. It is an educational charity, and its mission is to provide a place of education, religion, learning and research, in conjunction with a University that is recognised internationally as being of the highest standard. 

The College is an academic community comprising some 530 undergraduate students, 250 graduate students, and 110 Fellows (lecturers, professors and other senior academic researchers and teachers) and almost 200 staff.
