About the Role
The post holder will be joining the Centre for Preventive Neurology at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London.
The post holder will work across the PD group’s clinical research portfolio, which includes: PREDICT-PD, Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI study) and its linked studies (including Smell Test Direct (ST Direct) and the East London Parkinson’s Disease (ELPD) project and its linked studies.
About You
Candidates must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant medical science discipline. The ideal candidate will have a background in clinical research and be familiar with good clinical practice and the regulatory requirements of clinical research. The ideal candidate should be experienced in processing biological samples and have a keen interest and enthusiasm to develop laboratory skills further. Experience in Parkinson’s disease or other neurodegenerative disorders would be desirable.

The Centre for Preventive Neurology is at the forefront of international research and brings together an expert team to carry out revolutionary new research into Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. The centre’s focus is on academic discipline, research, the translation of research into health strategies and their practical implementation.

The post is based in Charterhouse Square. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 8 months. The salary will be Grade 4 at £37,472 - £38,082 per annum (depending on experience) per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
