About the Role
Applications are invited for an experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate to assist with investigations into pro-resolving and tissue regenerative actions of a novel class of host protective molecules termed as specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPM). The project will involve the establishing of the role of SPM in regulating innate immune responses in rheumatoid arthritis.
About You
Applicants should hold a relevant PhD degree a broad interest in immunobiology, cell signalling, analytical chemistry and/or biochemistry. Research experience in small molecules lipid-based and their associated analysis using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry and in flow cytometry is required. Experience in small animal surgical techniques, including vagotomy, is also required. While experience in molecular biology, analytical chemistry, biochemistry techniques is desirable but full training will be provided. The post requires good communication, attention to detail, good organisational skills and computer skills. You will be expected to be highly motivated and enthusiastic in pursuing your goals, extremely accurate in recording data, and will work closely with Prof Jesmond Dalli and other members of the Lipid Mediator Unit (https://www.qmul.ac.uk/whri/people/academic-staff/items/dallijesmond.html).
