About the Role
The William Harvey Heart Centre is a vibrant place to work with a welcoming atmosphere and interesting and diverse portfolio of studies. The role involves working alongside the team performing general admin duties such as booking patients, collating patient information and maintaining a pro-active appointment system, keeping timely records, preparing clinic letters, maintaining site files and any other administrative duties as assigned by the Unit Administrator and Study start-up/Financial Lead.
About You
The successful candidate will be educated to at least A-Level standard or equivalent, have previous experience of working in a busy office environment, have excellent IT skills, have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise their own workload, work independently and be proactive.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
William Harvey Heart Centre forms part of the NIHR Barts Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and is specifically designed to provide the cardiovascular research hub for the rebuild of St Bartholomew’s Hospital which opened in 2014. Our ethnically diverse east London community suffer appalling rates of heart disease, possibly due to undiscovered risk factors that may offer the basis for new treatments – we are therefore uniquely placed to act as a research window for these communities from emergent nations across the world.
