We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Combinatorics to work with Professor Peter Keevash at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. The position is full time, fixed-term and supported by a grant from the European Research Council. The start date for this position is flexible, although the position is only tenable for the duration of the grant, which ends 30 June 2026.
The successful candidate will join the Combinatorics group at Oxford and be responsible for conducting research as part of the ERC-funded project “Combinatorial Applications of Random Processes and Expansion”. They will write up their results for publication, present papers at conferences and contribute ideas for new research projects, whilst also managing their own academic research and administrative activities.
Applicants will have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline. They will possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes and have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.
