The Cerebral Palsy Foundation Associate Professor/Consultant in Cerebral Palsy will be a senior academic clinician, located in the Discipline of Paediatrics, Trinity College Dublin, and Children’s Health Ireland (CHI).
The Child Development and Neurodisability Service works closely with community services and hospital specialist services. The work reflects the complexity of need of many children with Neurodisability, and the importance of providing support in the community and close to home when possible. There are close working relationships with hospital specialists and with community disability and primary care. The paediatricians working in the service provide acute inpatient care and ambulatory care in CHI and provide health and specialist expertise in community clinics. Close working with the community requires a good knowledge of services across health and education, which is established with time and experience.
