Overview
The MSc and BSc Physiotherapy courses are excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Placement Coordinator/Lecturer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in the placement team, coordinating and managing clinical placements for our Physiotherapy students. You will work closely with both students and organisations to ensure placements align with course requirements, supporting students in gaining valuable experiences.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will involve providing ongoing pastoral support to students throughout their placements and actively driving the growth of our in-house placement options while offering clinical educator support. Additionally, you will support placement preparation lectures and post-placement workshops to enhance students' readiness and experiences for clinical practice. You will continue to strengthen relationships with providers and oversee the running of the clinical educator courses to expand and enhance placement opportunities for students.
Other key areas will involve teaching and providing support in a lecturing role, on the BSc and MSc programmes. You will guide students using contemporary approaches to teaching and learning, drawing upon your extensive clinical physiotherapy experience to enrich your teaching and facilitate effective knowledge transfer. You will ensure modules meet national (HCPC, CSP) and university standards, while embedding inclusivity and diversity in curriculum design and teaching methods. Flexibility and teamwork are key, as you contribute to academic excellence through innovative teaching, research, and a commitment to professional development.
