This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in launching and shaping the future of the School of Medicine at St Mary's University.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and execute an international student recruitment and marketing strategy to achieve ambitious targets centered around the School's launch in 2026.

The role will involve extensive independent overseas travel to a variety of different countries identified as a good fit for our offering.

Once in post, you will be the first point of contact for managing all enquiries from prospective students and partners, including optimising applications and conversions from priority regions.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

ESSENTIAL

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous international medical school student recruitment or admissions experience.
  • Knowledge of the UK Higher Education system and familiarity with trends in UK Higher Education in particular as they relate to international students.
  • Knowledge and experience of international education systems.
  • Experience of preparing and successfully delivering marketing or recruitment plans as well as preparing regular progress reports and updates.
  • Experience of conducting market research and data analysis to inform strategic decision making.

Skills and Competencies

Leadership and Stakeholder Management

  • Ability to identify key activities and projects of strategic benefit to the University.

Communication

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and ability to build effective relationships.
  • Confident and engaging when presenting to an audience.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.

Other

  • Strong IT skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and to work under pressure.
  • A collaborative, team-work focused approach to projects and daily responsibilities.

DESIRABLE

  • Professional marketing qualification.
  • Previous experience working or studying overseas.
  • Fluency in a language spoken within the region identified.
