Summary of the role
An exciting opportunity for a fixed term Department Manager (DM) role in the Languages, Culture and Visual Studies (LCVS) Department within the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) has arisen. The Department Manager is a key member of the department, working very closely with the Head of Department and as a member of the Department Leadership Team (DLT), their role will be to help develop LCVSs strategic and operational plan while ensuring the day-to-day delivery of operations as the professional services lead for the department. They will work closely with other Faculty Department Managers and become part of a University-wide Department Manager network.
This is a full-time role, but we would welcome applicants who are considering flexible working.
The successful candidate will have proven problem-solving ability and leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences including senior stakeholders. They will also need to have strong people and administrative skills. Those with transferrable skills from outside Higher Education are welcome to apply.
