Job Description
We are currently seeking a SITS Specialist who will be responsible for the operational implementation and coordination of initiatives aimed at the continual improvement of student data and processes related to our student record system, SITS at Bath Spa University
About the role
Within this role you will closely monitor and improve data quality withing the student system and identify potential areas for further optimisation, and proactively address challenges during data quality monitoring. You will implement and support the data assurance strategy by performing complex data updates, conducting audits, and analysing student records using tools like Power BI and SITS. Collaborating with various departments, you'll identify areas for process improvement, contribute to data quality development, and support university-wide digital transformation. As a key member of the team, you'll share your expertise, provide training, and stay informed on sector-wide data trends. This role offers the opportunity to make both independent and collaborative decisions while advancing your professional development.
About you
You will be highly self-motivated and resourceful with comprehensive experience in Higher Education student records systems (e.g., SITS) and a strong background in data quality management. You will have expertise in data extraction, transformation, and analysis, along with advanced Excel skills and knowledge of broader Microsoft Office tools. You will work collaboratively across teams, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. A degree in a quantitative subject or equivalent experience, along with familiarity with the UK HE sector and data protection regulations, is essential.
