About the Role
For informal enquiries, please contact Nicola Tod (Customer Services Officer) at nicola.tod@warwick.ac.uk or Dan Williams (Customer Services Manager) at dan.r.williams@warwick.ac.uk.
We are seeking to appoint to a Library Accessibility Specialist post in the Customer Services team at the University of Warwick. This is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal moment for the Library following the transformation of our services and the launch of a new strategy. You will act as the central point of contact for Library services, providing advice and support for disabled students, promoting best practice in the provision of inclusive services and raising awareness.
The post working pattern follows the standard University working week (usually 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday & 09:00 to 16:30 Friday). However, as the Library service operates 7 days a week and beyond the core business day, attendance at site to support Library teams or customers, plus supporting the Customer Service team and staff events such as Open Days and Welcome Week, will be required as agreed with the post holder.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience of working with disability and supporting young people in a further or higher education environment. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with excellent communication skills and an aptitude for information technology. Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service is essential, whilst working adaptably and flexibly to promote inclusive practice.
For further information regarding the skills required for this role please see the personal specification section of the attached job description.
