Graduate Technical Assistant, Full time (Fixed Term until 31st July 2025)

The University of Roehampton London is recruiting to the role of Graduate Technical Assistant to join our AV Resources and Technical team. This is an exciting time to join our technical service as we embark on a new integrated University wide technical team where the post holder will have the opportunity to make an impact within the central University technical service and within the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Science. (AHSS)

ARE YOU?

• A recent graduate with experience in performing arts or film.
• Keen to use your knowledge and skills to support the practical learning of students in our film and dance studios.
• Enthusiastic, organised and willing to support a busy team in a creative environment.
• Able to troubleshoot and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible and proactive with a hands-on approach.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Support the delivery of film instruction including preparing and managing loan equipment.
• Work closely with the Technical Manager for Dance to support performance and practical dance assessments across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Display good working knowledge of health and safety in a film or performance environment.
• Be part of a community of technicians.
