Research Assistant (Administrative Data)

Fixed term contract - 30^th April 2028.

Full time - 35 hours per week.

The opportunity:

Childlight - Global Child Safety Institute, is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant (Administrative Data) to join our team and play a crucial role in advancing our mission to safeguard children.

This position will support the development of Childlight’s Into the Light Global Index. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to a cadre of researchers at all career stages to further specific aspects of Childlight’s research by contributing to the scoping and use of administrative data. Your responsibilities will include identifying administrative data sources across countries, extracting figures, generating insights into child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA), researching the context each data source sits within, assessing data quality, and writing up the findings for the Into the Light Global Index.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed-term until 30^th April 2028.

The salary for this post is £32,982 to £38,205 per annum.

Your skills and attributes for success:

• Experience of conducting research with administrative data (e.g., from health, social care, policing, criminal justice)
• Experience of using R, Stata, SPSS or similar systems for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience of undertaking research administrative tasks
• Experience of working in a team
• Experience of working with diverse stakeholders in relation to research
• A passion for making the world a better place and preventing CSEA, improving services and safeguarding children
