Summary of the role
The Residence Life Coordinator posts will jointly provide support and guidance to the team of student Residence Life Mentors, forming part of the University’s Wellbeing and Welfare Team. The Residence Life Team is responsible for promoting a positive student living experience within university residences to include the pastoral, behavioural and welfare care of approx. 6,900 students in both University and nominated third party student accommodation. The accommodation is made up of a combination of catered and self-catered halls located both on and off the University's two Exeter campuses.
The post holder will be expected to promote a positive community atmosphere within the residences. This varied role will involve supporting our students in their accommodation, offering advice and guidance, creating and delivering a programme of events designed to build community on our campuses and promoting events and wellbeing messaging on social media.
We are looking for compassionate, committed and resilient individual who have the required experience and skills to join this busy team. The successful applicants will have an understanding of the student experience and issues related to student residences and will be able to work flexibly both as part of a team and independently to deliver an outstanding customer service experience. You will be able to balance the demands of a varied workload including both reactive and planned elements. You will ideally have excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as experience of supporting individuals with health and wellbeing needs.
Please note that this is a full-time post and we are not currently able to consider part-time hours for this role.
