About the Role:

As Digital Library Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the management, development, and administration of the University's digital library and information resources. You will ensure students and staff have seamless access to digital learning tools and resources, working closely with internal teams and external partners to optimise the digital library experience. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital-first agenda of the University and support the learning and teaching environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and administer the digital library platforms and website, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
  • Collaborate with faculties, the technology team, and system suppliers to support the development and optimisation of library services.
  • Procure digital library resources, monitor engagement, track usage, and report on platform and resources.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for students and staff using the digital library services, resolving any issues that arise.
  • Contribute to digital and information literacy by supporting workshops, training sessions, and creating instructional materials.
  • Assist in enhancing processes related to information management and support the operational delivery of the online study skills programme.
  • Provide administrative support for the Digital Learning Team and assist in academic audit and development projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the University's educational strategies and produce data on the impact of academic enhancement activities.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven administrative experience in a related role, ideally in higher education or digital library services.
  • Experience managing software systems with multiple users, roles, and permissions, such as a Library Management System or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Strong ability to produce high-quality reports, documentation, and multimedia resources that convey technical information clearly to a diverse audience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of modern web standards and protocols, with excellent IT and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and make effective operational decisions.
