The Lancaster Hotel is looking for a Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy hotel, reception, bar and restaurant.
The Duty Manager will be able to demonstrate a hands-on work ethic that can operate at pace ensuring every customer receives excellent service from the team. Being a strong communicator across all hotel departments whilst always remaining responsible and organised the Duty Manager will ensure staff are being productive and understand their responsibilities. Will be accountable for anything and everything on the shifts and has to make on the spot decisions. Guests’ satisfaction is the primary challenge.
With a proven experience of shift leadership within a customer facing environment the Duty Manager will lead and manage all aspects of the shift and ensure all service standards are followed with friendly and engaging service. Will ensure correct communication between the hotel reception and other hotel departments and will handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for all customers. The Duty Manager will assist in the training and development of the team and in reaching the key KPIs.
The Duty Manager will be confident and pro-active in managing risk and ensuring a safe working environment. Will be equally committed to the customers and the team and will have the ability to accept direction and responsibility ensuring a smooth operation is delivered for all.
Good organisational skills, computer literacy and being able to work under pressure a must. Excellent telephone manner, with a strong command of the English language are essential and previous experience using Opera PMS will be an advantage.
