We are seeking a talented individual who can build on and help expand our current teaching provision on the popular Fashion Design course at UCA, Epsom. We are looking for someone who can teach a thorough understanding of fashion and design concepts with sound technical underpinning and brand acumen. Someone with forward thinking and experimental approaches in contemporary fashion design, knowledge of textile innovation and sustainability in fashion.
We are specifically looking for a ‘hands on’ fashion creative who is passionate about their field with demonstrable practical knowledge, skills and expertise in fashion design, teaching experience is essential. Ability to use innovative techniques to inspire inventive approaches and work collaboratively as a team in a fast paced fashion studio. Teaching experience alongside professional practice or industry experience will be considered. The appointment provides a significant opportunity to work with a dynamic team.
It is expected that you will have motivational skills, collegiate approach, administrative, organisational and management skills, and excellent communication skills to provide the essential day to day admin required to lead and deliver teaching to significantly large cohorts, and to report to the Programme Director. You must evidence a commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and widening participation in teaching, research and internationalisation and university life.
This is a part-time (4 days a week) permanent role. Actual salary is £31,477 - £36,468 per annum.
