The School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing at Leeds Beckett University wishes to appoint a Degree Apprenticeship Assessor in the areas of Building Services Engineering/Civil Engineering. The appointee will support the development and delivery of our apprenticeship courses for people wishing to pursue apprenticeship degrees in these subject areas.

The appointee working with a team of academic lecturers, the university apprenticeship team and in collaboration with industry and employers and their apprentices, will support the development and subsequent delivery of degree apprenticeship courses through virtual and physical industry visits of our apprentices and their employers.

The successful applicant will play an active role with our team to develop and lead apprentices through their apprenticeship journey, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to succeed. They will liaise with apprentices, employers, the EPAO and internal key contacts to develop our apprentice-focused service, conducting regular reviews with apprentices and their employers to measure progress and agree the way forward.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual committed to excellence in delivering industry led learning and associated academic support.  We particularly encourage applications from those with experience of supporting a wide variety of learners and relevant professional experience in the industrial area where we are seeking to appoint a DA Assessor.

The successful applicants will possess a Bachelors degree with practical/sector-specific experience in one of the subject areas.

We are looking to appoint either on a full-time basis (37 hours per week) or fractional/part time (17.5 hours per week) to this post. We will consider job share and different flexible working arrangements.
