Responsibilities
The Duty Manager role is heavily operational and will support the Leisure Supervisor – Operations, with health and safety duties and building management. This role also requires leadership skills to manage the team when on shift. Communication is paramount as the Duty Manager will report on building faults and 1st aid accidents and incidents to other departments within the University. Overseeing maintenance within CitySport, logging jobs with PAF (property and facilities) and keeping the senior team up to date of all completed and outstanding jobs.
The postholder will have worked within a leisure facility with leadership or Duty Management experience. They will need good attention to detail, a flexible approach and the ability to work using their own initiative.
The postholder will be required to open & close the building, work on a Monday – Sunday rota, which will also include bank holidays.
Person Specification
The post holder will have experience as a Duty Manager within the Leisure industry and possess an in date First Aid Certificate.
Health and Safety knowledge desirable and building operational experience preferred.
A background in supervising small teams is essential for this role together with a strong commitment to delivering a professional customer service.
Experience of working within a sport and leisure setting preferred.
