The role

The Senior Endpoint Specialist will join a team of customer-focused IT specialists, providing managed Windows & macOS devices to enable staff and students to work in a secure and productive manner in alignment with the University's digital aims. You will be managing a team of Windows specialists to achieve these goals. You'll also be supporting other UIS services where Windows expertise is required.

You'll get the chance to collaborate and interact with some of the finest minds in the world, sharing data, insight and expertise to make a meaningful difference to the University's success.

What you will do

As a Senior Endpoint Specialist you will:

- Lead development of the Windows component of the University Managed Desktop service.

- Liaise with stakeholders within the University to ensure the University Managed Desktop aligns with the wider digital goals of the University.

- Line manage and develop the UMD Windows Team

- Provide platform specific technical advice to support other UIS services.

This position is based on the University's West Cambridge Site. The nature of this post requires attendance at the office a minimum of one day a week, sometimes more depending on work requirements.

What you will need

- Line management or supervisory experience.

- Experience of providing managed devices at scale, preferably using cloud based technologies.

- Proven experience of developing IT services in conjunction with other stakeholders.

- Proven ability to work in a diverse environment with complex requirements.
