The Admissions Tutor has overall responsibility for the recruitment, assessment, and selection of undergraduate applicants to the College. They are expected to work closely with Directors of Studies to admit students with high academic potential, and to provide advice on contextual factors in the admissions process. They will also have the overall responsibility for the coordination of postgraduate admissions to the College, liaising with academic Departments, Schools, and the University’s Postgraduate Admissions Office as required.
They will keep fully informed about admissions-related matters in UK higher education. Monitor and respond to broader national trends in applications and admissions. Working with the Admissions Office, the Tutorial Office and the Senior Tutor, they are expected to provide strategic oversight of the College’s recruitment activities, and to promote and evaluate the success of its Widening Participation work at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The postholder may be asked to act as a Tutor for up to 30 (undergraduate or postgraduate) students. The postholder would be encouraged to pursue learning and research for the advancement of their subject; to supervise the studies of undergraduates from Corpus or other Colleges; if requested by the Senior Tutor, to direct studies in their subject (supervising and directing studies will attract additional payment at the usual rates for Fellows); and to carry out other College tasks as requested from time to time.
