About the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to support data analysis on the NIHR funded Stravinsky Study (Stratification of Clinically Vulnerable People for COVID-19 Risk Using Antibody Testing).  The study aims to investigate if antibody testing can identify which immunosuppressed people remain at greatest risk of severe COVID-19 infection after vaccinations, and aims to recruit over 3000 vulnerable participants over two years. 2,600 participants will receive a finger-prick antibody test. And 400 will receive more detailed immune analyses.

In addition to helping support data analysis of the main study, the post holder will be responsible for analysing and reporting a combined data set of several prospective studies which have investigated the correlation between vaccine responses and COVID-19 infection/outcomes.

What you would be doing:

You will conduct data analysis and ensure validity and reliability of data.

You will write research reports of your analysis and present findings to the Stravinsky team members.

You will attend the weekly Stravinsky Study trial management group meetings.

You will collaborate with other allied scientists within Imperial College and elsewhere as required by the Stravinsky Study.

You will undertake any necessary training and/or development.

  • A first or 2:1 degree, or a masters, in a relevant discipline (e.g., biological sciences)
  • Knowledge of basic research methods and statistical procedures
  • Handling and analysing data sets
  • Excellent communication skills with a wide range of people
  • Excellent organisational skills
