Are you motivated by clinical excellence rather than clinical targets?

Are you looking for a fulfilling career where you can inspire the next generation of vets and contribute to advancement of knowledge through clinical research?

Following significant clinical salary restructuring, the Division of Small Animal Clinical Sciences is seeking to recruit a motivated clinician to help develop our Internal Medicine and Critical Care services.

The ideal candidate will hold an ECVIM/ACVIM Diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine or ECVECC/ACVECC Diploma or have completed an approved residency training programme in either discipline. The post offers a significant element of ‘off clinics’ time for research and scholarship (including exam study). The role will also involve the delivery of clinical teaching to undergraduates, interns and residents.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team within our award-winning state-of-the-art Small Animal Hospital. The hospital is based on the beautiful Garscube estate, 10 minutes’ drive from the vibrant “West End” of Glasgow and less than one hour from Loch Lomond. Our facilities include on-site 1.5T MRI, CT, C-arm fluoroscopy, a range of Olympus and KarlStorz endoscopes, a linear accelerator and radio-iodine unit. We have a dedicated ICU, which offers advanced respiratory support and extracorporeal therapies, and an excellent in-house laboratory, including ROTEM and PFA analyzers.  Our ‘One Hospital’ team ethos ensures exceptional clinical care can be delivered to our patients, and supports the continual professional development of our vets, nurses and support staff. The ability to work well with others in a collegial team atmosphere is essential.
