Royal Canin Veterinary Nurse (Assessment of Ageing in Cats)

The University of Liverpool’s Feline Healthy Ageing Clinic was originally established in 2017 and is a pioneering clinical and research resource original for the United Kingdom. Cats entering their senior stage of life are invited to join the clinic where they will undergo a thorough physical and clinical assessment as part of a prospective ageing study, they are assessed biannually for the length of the study.

You should be a qualified veterinary nurse who has an interest in feline medicine and managing chronic diseases.

You will work alongside the current staff running the Feline Healthy Ageing Clinic at the University of Liverpool, comprising a veterinary surgeon and a PhD student. You will be responsible for case recruitment, assisting in the annual clinical examinations, performing 6-monthly nurse clinics and managing research outputs (including data and biological samples).

You will be expected to promote the clinic locally and nationally, and to give seminars and provide reports to the veterinary community when required.

This post will suit an experienced, motivated, organised, proactive individual, who already has experience in providing nurse-led clinics or has similar leadership experience.

This post is available on a fixed term basis for 3 years (until January 2028) initially.
